When I load videos onto my computer, they automatically save as a .mov file type. This is inconvenient because I edit my movies in Windows Movie Maker, which does not accept .mov file types. I've tried two different media converters, but the files come out with worse quality than I'd like. Is there any way I could change the settings on my camera or computer so that the video files save as .avi instead of .mov? If so, what are the steps? Thanks so much in advance! How can I change videos transferred from my memory card to computer from .mov to .avi without cost?
Use SUPER video converter (google it). Pretty easy and good result. If you convert it for further editing, use high bitrate. Hope helps!
Tips: I usually convert my .mov video using Intel Indeo for further editing.
