This is my computer type. It is Toshiba Satellite M40/M45 SeriesCan i change the graphic card of this computer? And how can i put it in?
Sorry.

Call of Duty 4 is a VERY graphics intense game.

You will not be able to play it in that laptop, and you cannot upgrade the graphics.

If you still want to play the newest games in a laptop, then get one designed for gaming like this:

Sounds like a laptop. If it is, you can't.
Sadly no... until recently there have been almost exactly zero laptops that have upgradeable video cards, and even now it is only possible on high end ones.
Go to the video card manufacturer site, Windows Update (choose Custom) or http://www.driverguide.com and see if there is an updated driver for the card. Most games do not run with 16 bit video.

If the driver does not help, visit the Toshiba website to see upgrade options.

Without the disk, you can't. The drivers are online, look at Driverguide.co,.

    Some easy steps to try:

Download and install the latest drivers from Nvidia, make sure to uninstall existing ones first.

Make sure under Power Settings that system is set to Performance or to Always On and try again.

Video BIOS really shouldn't cause a problem.

Check your system BIOS at start up that nothing is hampering performance.

Also run a monitoring tool like HWMonitor to see if you system isn't over heating, some systems cut back performance if the graphics cards are overheating.

Use a tool like Rivatuner, to make sure the performance of the Core and Memory match those listed on the web and haven't been somehow reduced.Plz guys help me with my video card 9600gt problem...?
    Sorry to hear that.

Can you check photo's on the web of the product against the one you have?

Also there is a tool that allows you to modify a Nvidia bios, http://www.softpedia.com/get/T

Since it's already broken you could tinker with this tool.

after reading your question the first time, i almost blew it off see that the other guy mostly answered you well enough, but then i read your question a second time and saw that it never said that you replaced your older card only that you added a new card. so if you are running sli or crossfire, it makes since that the card is running slow.

  • Can I play GTA IV with my laptop?

My Sony Vaio Laptop (VGN-NR330E) has a Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Family Chipset. I know it is not powerful enough to play GTA IV. But is there any way I can play without upgrading my video card? If not, how can I change my video card to a one that supports playing GTA IV. And, what kind of video card do you recommend. (would external video cards help?)Can I play GTA IV with my laptop?
I play GTA IV on that video chipset without a problem, although I have slightly more RAM and a better processor.

I've never had an issue. Can I play GTA IV with my laptop?
I wouldn't think you'd be able to. I would recommend getting a NVIDIA graphics card. I would also want to try and get a good amount of ram and a good processor.
well well, i have played gta iv on laptop, but that was with radeon hd 512 mb 3d card, so your current card would burn when playing this game, what you can do is an external 3d card, thats the only solution, keep in mind get a min pixel shader 4 and min 512 mb 3d card
