I'm not trying to change my laptop video card just want to have the laptop display and a 2nd monitor, like I do with 2 video cards in my desktop. Assuming your laptop doesn't have a VGA port on the back of it, there are PCMCIA video cards you can try one is the VTBook, http://sewelldirect.com/vtbookpcmciacard but I would be surprised if your laptop did not have a VGA port on it somewhere.How do I add a second monitor to my Laptop.
