It's very easy for any home user to do themselves.

Here is an illustrated ';how to';:

One thing ... make sure the PC you buy has a video card that uses a PCIe X16 slot OR that there is an available PCIe x16 slot to install a better card if the one already there integrated on the motherboard.

Also ... do not buy a slimline or small format PC. They require special cards called ';low profile';, %26amp; this drastically limits your options since they can only use ';low profile'; cards.

The thing you need to know is if it holds an AGP, PCI, or PCI-E card. Look up your computers specifications and match the card with the corresponding slots. Its not hard to change. Then install the drivers for the new card. If you are still unsure, ask a knowledgeable friend or a computer consultant to do it for you.
Changing a card is relatively easy and streamlined there days. Radioshack will install it for you, or at least direct you on how to install it yourself. There should not be too much hassle :)
It is not that hard for you to change the video card. Just remove the case, remove the video card and then put in new one. Of course it is easier said than done. Or if some problems come up you might have to fix it yourself. I recommend going to Radio Shack.
Its really easy to change a graphics card, simply remove the screw that holds it to the back of the pc, and pull upwards with equal force, not at an agle, then replace with the new one, push downwards with equal pressue and it just clicks in.

The only thing to remember that a computer bought from a store will have its warrenty sticker on the back, so your warrenty will be void.
it is realll realllly eeeeeeaaasy. Turn off computer. Open case(usually a screw or 4 to take out or a lever) If where you plug your monitor's video cord into is connected directly into the motherboard then it is integrated. If it is a card that is plugged into a pci or pci x or an agp slot on your motherboard then you can just pull it out. PCI-x cards have a lever near the motherboard that you have to press to remove card.
