How to prevent pc hanging when playing games without changing its video card?

If you are not playing Online games, then you could unplug your internet service, and then temporarily disable all unnecessary services.

Click on 'start'

Click on 'run'

type in:msconfig

Click the 'Startup' tab and then choose ';Disable All';

Reboot

Once you restart it will pop up a notice to let you know that items in your startup were changed...since you are the one who change them..thats no problem... click the box to Ok and then close that dialog box

Disable your AntiVirus/Firewall (but only after removing your network cable from the back of your PC)

change your game settings, use lower settings, lower the resolution
update video drivers.

MIKE
stop programs that you are not using
add more RAM...you need at the least 1 gig..2gig is better...more than that wont help
