Lets just assume you have a 3Ghz CPU, 1Gb RAM and you are playing oblivion with those two different video cards. Would lag go away with the GForce 7900?How much speed increase would you get if you changed your video card from a GForce 5600 to a GForce 7900?
Mmm, don't really have enough information to tell you exactly how big of a difference. For example: some of the geforce 7900 cards are 256mb, some are 512mb. Either way, you're likely at least doubling your video memory, and going from agp to pci-ex, correct? It would make a huge difference, but Oblivion is a resource hog. i play oblivion with a geforce 6800 256mb...i havent experienced lag yet. 1gb ram, 3ghz
it is like switch between a normal car to a ferrari!
